TFE New Year's Challenge

We've created this challenge to help you start the year in a healthy way and help you work toward your goals. This challenge has an activity or task for each day in the month of January. Most of these activities are wellness and fitness related, but we've included some fun horsey activities as well! Of course, it may not realistic for you personally to do each of these activities on the exact day we've specified depending on your schedule. Therefore, we've created the challenge as a check-list so that you can complete it according to your own schedule. We recommend printing out this page so you can cross off each activity as you complete them.

The TFE New Year's Challenge

  1. Drink 3 liters of water
  2. Fill out the Goal Setting Guide if you haven't already
  3. Try a new workout style that you've never done before
  4. Get at least 8 hours of sleep. Hopefully most of you are doing this one already!
  5. Go a whole day without any processed foods.
  6. Ride without stirrups
  7. Clean out your closet
  8. Skip the workout and stretch for 30 minutes
  9. Take a bubble bath
  10. Try a new food you've never had before
  11. Plan something for a few months from now to look forward to
  12. Make your horse a bran mash
  13. Go to the gym with a barn friend
  14. Turn off your phone for a few hours
  15. Try something new during your lesson/hack
  16. Decide on a bad habit to break
  17. Eat every color of the rainbow of fresh foods
  18. Hack bareback
  19. Try meditation or yoga
  20. Make your horse homemade treats
  21. Make a new workout playlist
  22. Clean all of your tack and boots
  23. Clean out your pantry and go grocery shopping for foods that make you feel good
  24. Watch your favorite movie again
  25. Bake your favorite dessert from scratch
  26. Go a whole day without social media
  27. Go out to dinner with your barn friends
  28. Find a new book you love
  29. Do a face mask
  30. Fill out the TFE Planner and stick to it for a whole week
  31. Reward yourself for completing a short term goal
